Jose Maria Vilaplana is the head luthier and one of the founding partners of Alhambra, S.L. Although he is deeply involved in maintaining the high quality of their guitars, he continues to work as a luthier, making their top of the line concert classical guitar model for the most demanding professional guitarists, building these with the finest material, totally handmade guitars using traditional methods. Only 12 of these models are made each year. Jose Maria Vilaplana was a luthier for Ramirez guitars.

First, the beauty is just striking!
Just touching it is a sensual experience, the beautiful finish; I should say the perfect finish, with a French Polish base, is very light, allowing the best wood response.
The high grain quality wood selected make this guitar simply gorgeous.
A refined German Spruce with a silky look, with very tight and regular nodules all across it, attracts the eye right away.
Once we turn the guitar… the Solid Red Peroba let us without voice.

The book matching is perfect the grain appears to create one continuous line, and showcases a dramatic effect.
How many hours did they spend matching it and have a perfect continuous pattern? The purfling itself demonstrates his mastery.
This guitar has an amazingly rich and refined tone. Also, just by moving your right hand finger a millimeter you will get a different sound, just a millimeter!
Can you imagine when you move your right hand from bridge to neck the incredible range of sound you have? It is a gazillion colors palette!!!
